The most recognizable part of Immersive Engineering is its visible electrical infrastructure. Instead of treating energy as an invisible number, the mod lets you draw wire routes through a workshop and across a landscape.
Begin with a generator
Start with a generator supported by the version you are playing, such as a windmill or water wheel. A generator must actually be producing energy; placing wires alone does not create electricity. Read the Engineer’s Manual for the conditions and components your setup needs.
Use the right connectors and relays
Connectors transfer electrical power between a source and a machine. Relays help route a connection through intermediate points. The type of wire and connector matters, so make sure it is appropriate for the energy tier and endpoints in your design.
Plan routes before building everything
Place cable poles where they do not interrupt movement or machine access. Short, visible lines are easier to inspect when something stops. Leave room for additional branches that will feed machines added later in the playthrough.
Check the whole circuit
When a machine will not run, verify that the generator produces power, each segment is actually connected and the receiving machine is assembled correctly. Then inspect machine inputs and its other operating conditions. A valid energy cable cannot compensate for a missing processing ingredient.
Upgrade as your factory expands
As you add the Crusher, Arc Furnace and other hungry machines, revisit your total available generation and transfer capacity. Separate or expand networks where the design demands it; this makes diagnosis and future growth easier.
